WHAT IS a doula?
The word doula is a Greek word meaning women’s servant. Women have been serving other women in childbirth for many centuries and have proven that support from another woman has a positive impact on the labor process.
A doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical and informational support to the mother who is expecting, is experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. The doula's purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable and empowering birthing experience. (from American Pregnancy Association)

WHO IS Gail Lantz?
My husband and I moved to South Korea in 2008. We waited a handful of years to get pregnant because I was literally scared of childbirth, especially in Korea! When we found out we were pregnant we were beyond thrilled, but I was still scared. Half way through, I found an amazing doula and never looked back.
We welcomed our first son into the world, via South Korea, in April 2011 with the help of a wonderful doula. I had a completely natural, drug-free, intervention-free water birth and fell in love with the world of birthing. I was empowered by my birth, defeating fear and doubt, and I want to support other women to do the same thing. I am ever grateful to my doulas for providing the support and education we needed in the exact time we needed it.
Every birth is a celebration and I always treat it that way. Life has been created inside woman and given to us! I want to help you see how marvelous it is to carry child and let your body do the work to bring him into the world. I love all aspects of birth and pregnancy and it’s my pleasure to celebrate life with you.

WHY praisebabies?
When I was pregnant with my son, I became entranced in "knowing" him before I could even see or touch him. I read about his growth and developments and I fell in love. Not only did I fall in love with my baby, but with the Lord God. I can point to no other time in my life that I remember feeling so purposeful and loved by our Creator. Life is beginning in you and it is a miracle. I hope to help you cherish this throughout your pregnancy and birth.
Children are a gift from the Lord. Psalms 127:3
